J. Crew Sequin Stripe Boatneck
Leave it to J.Crew to take an elegant staple and make it dazzle. The always classic striped nautical tee is updated with rows of sequins along every stripe in the front to create a glistening effect. Whether you make it part of a festive ensemble or add it to your favorite lived-in denim, your look will twinkle and shine in swank style.
Alexandra Grecco Capulet Cape
Go Sherlock-chic this fall with an extra-layer-meets-finishing-touch piece. The versatile Capulet Cape by Alexandra Grecco is made from luxurious black wool crepe and is as pretty as can be. Use it to soften up a denim ensemble or slip it on over your favorite little dress for a touch of ladylike drama.

Stripe Sweater
Finally, horizontal stripes that work for any figure! The Bleeker Stripe Sweater by Mink Pink is a dreamy and casual off-the-shoulder piece that boasts a boxy, oversized silhouette. Wear it alone or layer it over your favorite tank and best pair of skinnies – you can worry about your midsection later.

Lanvin SS11: an athletic edge
Alber Elbaz's Grecian draping and asymmetrical shapes haven't gone anywhere for Spring 2011. They have, however, taken up lodging with some new sporty elements and understated leather harness details. As always Elbaz' work for Lanvin catches your attention as much for the accessories as the clothing - and this time around, both the shoes (heeled and flat), jewellery, and bags are to die for.

Leggings Version 2.0
Leggings – I really thought this trend was over, but instead they’re getting better than ever. Love leggings.
Embellished leggings are the best. Studs, stones, and texture. Lace ones, and velvet. Oh my.
The ultimate skinny jeans are actually now leggings. Ones that look so much like denim that even close up it’s hard to tell – I bought two pair of denim leggings; one black with zippers at the ankles, and one navy. But caution ladies, leggings do still not replace pants. Don’t treat them like pants, please! You still gotta cover your bottom.
Short Sleeve
This season has been a showcase for dramatic over exaggerated style. From over-sized jewellery, to structured shoulder pads and spikes, fashion is screaming LOOK AT ME. The short sleeved coat is an example that fits in quite well with the fantasy and optical illusions trends.
Cropped sleeved coats seem a bit impractical at keeping you warm, but think of all the fun you’ll have coming up with warm contrasts to fill the gap of the killer cut offs.
Splatter
Not only is inky blue one of the newest Spring colors, but inky and paint splattered patterns are quite the hit!
The paint splatter pattern has been showing up for a long time, but it has only made splashes on the runways this Spring. BCBG Max Azria Spring 2010 show was labelled as being ”toatally 80’s” because of its dedication to the splatter on their Spring line.

Velvet
Love love love this velvet dress for the holidays.
Velvet instantly makes me think of a few things: Royalty, 1970s paintings on velvet canvas and of course, the holidays. This season, velvet is all the craze. Velvet holiday dresses, velvet leggings, velvet blazers, velvet accessories, in all colours of the rainbow.
Some Favorites of 2009
Despite many having to succumb to shopping on a tighter budget in 2009 – it was an absolutely fantastic year for fashion nonetheless.
The 2009 top fashion trends that stole my heart and robbed me of all my money:
■Bold shoulders
■Military Inspired Jackets
■Statement necklaces
■Over-the-knee Boots
■Menswear Inspired pieces
■Return of Distressed Denim
■Biker Brigade (studs, leathers, hardware)
■Jewel encrusted/sequined clothing
■Feathers (’cause they’re plain fun)
The 2010 Jeans
I don't know a single woman who will turn down a great pair of jeans when she puts them on… No matter how much our credit card may want us to! But as we know all too well finding that perfect denim fit can beyond frustrating – which is why many of us stick to what we know works best for us.
This season dare to break your denim rules and source out these top premium jean picks:
■Hudson Jeans – they will be releasing a higher-end range with prices ranging from US$100 – $450
■Dior Homme Jeans – will FINALLY be available in women’s styles
■Victoria Beckham Denim – will relaunch in more modern cigarette silhouettes
■Vivienne Westwood – has teamed up with Lee Jeans for a range due to hit stores late spring/early fall
Shoulder Power
I'm still in love with the blod sohoulder Balmain dress Madonna wore in her music video for Celebration. Luckily for me, designers are embellishing the shoulders even more for 2010. Goes beyond the '80s power suits with the shoulder pad. Now, we're seeing shoulders grow upwards into more futuristic, space age look from Balmain.

Scarves!
Scarves come in a multitude of shapes, sizes, materials, colors, and cuts. Therefore, they can be used to express anybody’s personal style or mood.
Necklace scarves have become a rage more recently. They are usually lightweight and droopy. They can be worn as a cowl neck or even as a choker. There are a multitude of necklace scarves out there with fabric twisted, sewn, and draped in various shapes and colors.
Over the Head
I love wearing hoodies. I always have, I always will. I’m wearing one right now in fact. Large scarves can be wrapped around the head to create a hooded effect. They shield you from rain, wind, or unwanted peeping Toms. While it’s possible to buy a premade hooded scarf, its equally fabulous to just wrap yourself (head included) in an over-sized scarf.

Hair Trend 2010 Summer
What kind hairstyle will be popular next year? I have to say: The short hairstyles.A short haircut that suits you and your lifestyle can dramatically change the way you feel and look,it can boost your confidence, make you look younger, and reduce the amount of time and money you spend on hair care. Not only these reasons, because get a new short hair is the trends, a lot celebrities are wearing short hairstyles these years.
Thigh Tight Boots/Over the knee boots trend 2010
When it comes to 2010 fashion trends we're facing a year of subtlety and tradition. And while many of us will be wearing classical silhouettes and subdued colours we'll all be in need of making them pop; after all, doesn't every fashioniser want to stand out from the crowd? The picture that I upload is Autumn (Fall)/Winter 2009/2010, but you've all gone ahead and worn them anyway. Yes, Summer may just be about to reach the Northern Hemisphere but seasons be damned. You want your thigh-high boots, and you want them now!

Vivienne Westwood going on ground Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place
With only a few days before the Golden Globes, you can bet there’s a lot of action on Melrose Place and Melrose Avenue with all the big designer boutiques bustling with celebs trying on gowns – at Carolina Herrera, at Oscar de la Renta, at Marni, etc. A couple weeks ago I went to Melrose and I saw a new sign on an empty retail location that read: VIVIENNE WESTWOOD. As you might have noticed, Sandra Bullock was wearing a pink Vivienne Westwood gown to the People’s Choice Awards on Jan. It’s interesting that designer Ms. Westwood, commonly credited with starting the entire punk movement when she dressed The Sex Pistols, would open in L.A. when her N.Y. store closed years ago. I can’t wait till it opens.

Zipper Inspired Designs
I took these pics during my field trip and you guys seeing this? Since September 2009, I've been seeing a lot of garments trimmed in an open zipper and let me tell you, I am totally digging it. It's different, it adds a lot of tuxture and another type of bling besides the usual studs and thinestones. This season you'll still see a lot more edgy/rebellious and rocker inspired looks. Lots of chains and leather and a long with that zipper trimming. Zipper inspired designs!
